Peachy Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ lbs chicken pieces
  • 16 oz peaches
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ cup orange juice concentrate
  • ½ cup Malt vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon basil leaves dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cloves ground
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
 

  • Drain the peaches, reserving liquid; set aside..
  • In large skillet brown the chicken pieces in vegetable oil
  • Combine reserved peach liquid, and thawed frozen orange juice concentrate, Malt vinegar, brown sugar, dried basil leaves, salt, ground cloves and cinnamon, pepper, pour over chicken.
  • Cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes, or bake at 350° F
    or until chicken is cooked.
  • Add peaches, heat.
  • Combine cornstarch and water; stir into sauce. Heat, stirring, until sauce is thickened.
  • Serve chicken and sauce with rice.
