Pesto

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basil leaves fresh
  • tablespoon pine nuts or use walnuts
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  • Pulse basil and nuts in a food processor.
  • Add the garlic and Parmesan cheese and pulse several times more. Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula.
  • While the food processor is running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady, small stream. Occasionally stop to scrape down the sides of the food processor.
