Pesto
Ingredients
- 2 cups basil leaves fresh
- ⅓ tablespoon pine nuts or use walnuts
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 large garlic cloves
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- to taste black pepper
Instructions
- Pulse basil and nuts in a food processor.
- Add the garlic and Parmesan cheese and pulse several times more. Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula.
- While the food processor is running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady, small stream. Occasionally stop to scrape down the sides of the food processor.
