Makes a large salad and will keep for up to 2 weeks. You are essentially making a custard, cooling and adding the cool whip, fruit and marshmallows. Kids will think of this as a dessert. Ingredients
- 1 cup. Acini de pepe pasta (this sometimes hard to find)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 cups Water Boiling
- 20 oz tidbit pineapple
- 2 cups mandarin oranges
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 9 oz Cool Whip 1 container
Instructions
- Boil water, pasta, and salt for 15-20 minutes (till Al Dente'). Wash / drain / cool.
- In a saucepan thicken juices by adding flour and the eggs.
- Cook over moderate heat until thick. Mix with fruit and pasta, withholding the marshmallows and cool whip.
- Let set over-night in the refrigerator.
- Next morning add: marshmallows and Cool Whip
