Chicken soup mix in a jar

Use this also a flavoring like a spice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fedio or other small pasta. I drop this for storage to allow this mix to be used as a spice. Adding when desired when making soup.
  • 1 cup dehydrated vegetable mix I drop.
  • 2 ½ tablespoons chicken bouillon I use Knorr.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper grounded
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme dried
  • teaspoon celery seeds
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoons onion flakes dried
  • ½ tablespoon parsley dried
  • ½ tablespoon chives
  • ½ teaspoon basil dried
  • ½ teaspoon oregano dried
  • teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 3 cups chicken previously cooked, diced. I withhold until making soup. Allows last min. alternation like replace with other meat.

Instructions

  • Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined.
  • Store the mix in an airtight container or a mason jar.
  • To prepare the soup, mix 1/2 cup of the dry mix with 1 1/4 cups of water or milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
  • Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the noodles and vegetables are tender.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and enjoy your homemade chicken soup!
  • You can add your favorite herbs and spices to customize this mix.
