Champagne Margaritas

Refreshing on those warm afternoons, but also great all year long.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup lime juice fresh
  • 1 cup tequila silver or blanco
  • ½ cup orange liquor suggest Cointreau
  • 3 cups champagne 1 bottle
  • lime wedges for rim
  • salt for rim, or alternatively use granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
  • Run lime wedges around the rim of each champagne flute and dip the rims in coarse salt.
  • Divide margaritas between flutes and garnish with lime wedges.

Notes

This is a great make-ahead drink for a crowd. If you want to make this in advance, combine all of your ingredients—minus the Champagne—into a pitcher and refrigerate. When you're ready to serve, divide your margarita mixture into your glasses, then top with Champagne
